BEGINNING OF CLASSES AT CEHAS
The Center for Croatian Studies Abroad has ceremoniously marked the beginning of classes for the summer semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.
On behalf of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dean Prof. Ina Reić Ercegovac welcomed the new students, most of whom are in Split for the first time. She expressed her satisfaction that they had chosen our faculty to learn the Croatian language and culture and wished them success in their studies.
Dr. Josipa Korljan Bešlić, the head of CEHAS, introduced the center and the organization of classes, emphasizing that this semester, courses are offered at all language levels, from A1 to C1, according to the CEFR. In addition to language classes, students can also attend lectures on Croatian culture and civilization, delivered in English by Dr. Helena Burić for all interested participants.
Beyond classroom instruction, CEHAS continues to organize extracurricular activities and various social gatherings for its students this semester
The students eagerly dove into learning, and one of the first newly acquired phrases was: Idemo na kavu! (Let’s go for coffee!).
We wish all new students, as well as those who have been learning Croatian with us semester after semester, the best of luck in their studies and many joyful moments together!
