Field trip to Šibenik and Prvić
We spent a day filled with learning and exploration in Šibenik and on the island of Prvić.
We visited the Faust Vrančić Memorial Center and learned about the life and work of the great Croatian inventor, lexicographer, philosopher, and polyglot. On Prvić, we enjoyed peace, untouched nature, and the view of the endless blue.
After exploring the island, we had lunch together, and then had time to walk and discover the beauties of Šibenik. We visited the Cathedral of St. James, which is the most important architectural monument of the Renaissance in Croatia, built by Juraj Dalmatinac. We saw the theater, the city hall, the fortress of St. Nicholas, and four wells. Then we rested with coffee, spring sunshine, and conversation. A little tired, but happy, we returned to Split.
Thank you all for another unforgettable trip!
