CEHAS students spent Friday, November 7, 2025, on a one-day excursion to Zadar. The day began with an early gathering at the designated meeting point, followed by a pleasant ride by tourist bus to the city that many call the place of the most beautiful sunset in the world.
Upon arrival in Zadar, they first visited the Benedictine Monastery of St. Mary, home of the famous exhibition Gold and Silver of Zadar. This rich collection of reliquaries, icons, Gothic sculptures, and other artworks provided them with insight into the spiritual and cultural heritage of the city. The tour was particularly engaging as it was guided by experts in both Croatian and English.
After visiting the monastery, they set out to explore Zadar\u2019s landmarks with a local guide. They strolled through the Roman Forum, the Square of Five Wells, and Kalelarga, saw a valuable monument of pre-Romanesque architecture from the early Middle Ages\u2014the renowned Church of St. Donatus\u2014as well as the largest church in Dalmatia, the Romanesque Cathedral of St. Anastasia (Sto\u0161ija). They were especially delighted by modern attractions\u2014the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun\u2014which uniquely combine art, nature, and technology.
Following the cultural program, they enjoyed a group lunch at one of Zadar\u2019s restaurants, followed by free time for walking, relaxing by the sea, and exploring the city according to personal interests. In the evening, they returned to Split full of impressions, beautiful memories, and photographs that will remind them for a long time of this enjoyable and educational day. <\/span><\/p>\n
